The Bike Co-op is a community center. We are an education center. We are a place for youth, but not just for youth. We are a place for people who need help getting a bike for transportation. We are a place for volunteers to have fun.
Toledo City Bike Co-op was founded on the principle that our limited natural resources should be used wisely. As such, our goals are to:
Put more bicycles on the road by providing affordable, recycled bikes to the community. Provide low-cost access to a fully equipped bike repair shop Reduce materials going into landfills by recycling bikes and bike parts. Include learning in every effort we make. Maintain dependable hours at our small community center (going 4 years strong now). Be radically kind. Offer opportunities to contribute back to the cooperative in exchange for low cost/ no cost services and parts. Promote a healthier environment and lifestyle Offer a place for like-minded bike enthusiasts to meet and exchange ideas
There are lots of ways to get involved. Please come see us during our regular hours to sign up for an introduction class or contact us for a schedule.
